Student Council is open to students in grades 4-6. Elections take place each semester.
All candidates running for office must be responsible and maintain a 2.0 GPA. All students will help with morning announcements, planning spirit days, rallies, video announcements, lunch activities, set up, leadership opportunities, and school-wide events.

President
6th grade only

The president leads the meetings with the assistance of the student council advisors. The president will serve in various leadership roles throughout the semester and help plan and lead special activities and events. The president represents the Sierra Vista student body at all times.

Vice President
5th or 6th grade
|
The vice president works very closely with the president and assists in many duties. The vice president also stands in for the president when necessary.

|
AVID Coordinator
6th grade only
|
The AVID Coordinator works with the AVID Site Team to help implement AVID activities in classrooms.
|
|
Athletic Commissioner
5th or 6th Grade
|
The athletic commissioner will assist the school athletic director and custodian with the gameday setup.
|
|
Treasurer
4th, 5th, or 6th grade
|
The treasurer will assist the GIS with our school-wide fundraiser and other events.
|
|
Positivity Project Ambassador
4th, 5th, or 6th grade
|
The Positivity Project Ambassador will represent the student council on the Positivity Project Committee. They will be on both the student council and the Positivity Project committees and need to attend both meetings.

|
Public Relations Director
4th, 5th, or 6th grade
|
The Public Relations Director will help prepare for meetings, take notes, and track meeting attendance. They will also inform the student body of upcoming school events and gather student feedback.

|
Spirit Commissioner
4th, 5th, or 6th grade
|
The spirit commissioner will help plan rallies on campus. They will also deliver the spirit trophies each Friday and advertise spirit days on the announcements.

|
Grade Level Senators
4th, 5th, and 6th grade
|
Senators will work with the team on all activities, but also be the voice of their grade level. Students will report back to classes on upcoming events.
