BLOCK SV

Block SV Awards

Block SV is a prestigious award designed to honor students who have demonstrated excellence in mind, body and spirit. BLOCK SV is available to students in grades 4, 5, and 6. Applications are completed per semester and awarded at the end of each semester. To earn this recognition, students must accumulate the required amount of points for their current grade level, with at least 1 point in each category:

•  MIND - Scholarship/Curricular

•  MIND - Co-Curricular

•  BODY - Athletics/Activity

•  SPIRIT - School Service/Spirit

General Requirements for Block SV

 

Personal Conduct: Any student who has been suspended shall not be eligible for Block SV during that semester. This includes receiving more than one “substantiated” conduct referrals requiring administrative intervention.

Attendance: Students with 8 or more tardies or 4 or more unexcused absences are not eligible for Block SV that semester.

Verification: Students must complete the season or activity in good standing to earn points. Teachers will work with students toward the end of each semester to verify accuracy.

Active Participation: Students need to be active participants in each activity by attending and participating regularly. Students who do not attend regularly or participate will not receive points for that activity.
