Hello Viking Families!  
We have had a wonderful start to the school year!  Thank you for a great week so far! 
Here are a few important bits of information for our parents/guardians and students:

* Campus Reminders for Student Safety-
- Please stay clear of the hallways during drop off and pick up time.  You may wait on the grass or at the end of the hallways, not next to the doors. 
- Parents are not allowed in the cafeteria during breakfast or lunch.
- Please stay clear of the blacktop/playground area before and after school.  
- Parking is limited.  With more students at SV this year, please plan ahead!  Do not park in the bus loading zone or leave your car unattended unless you are in designated parking spot.  

* Dress Code Reminders -  
- Shorts must have a 5 inch inseam. Skirts cannot be shorter than 5 inches from the knee. 
- Hair must be a natural color. Hair that is dyed or braided in with color other than a natural hair color is not allowed. 
- Hair cannot have lines or designs shaved into it.
- Professional sports team clothing, hats, gear, etc. are not allowed.  
- Non-school related hats are now allowed to be worn! This is an updated rule this year. 
This week we are giving dress code warnings.  We will continue to encourage our students to be in dress code so they can avoid consequences.

Back to School Night - Thursday, August 28th

4:00 - 6:15 pm - Sierra Vista PTC Popcorn Mixer in the computer lab
5:00 - 6:15 pm - TB Risk Assessment - For anyone who plans to complete the CUSD Volunteer Form
4:30 - 5:00 pm - 6th grade Sonora Information Meeting in Room D9
5:00 pm - Welcome to SV!  All families invited to start in the cafeteria 
5:15 - 5:45 pm - Classroom Session #1
5:50 - 6:20 pm - Classroom Session #2
6:20 pm - Event ends
