Dear Sierra Vista Parents, Guardians and Students,
Now that we have settled back into the kitchen and multipurpose room I would like to update you on the second phase of construction, our stage area, wheelchair stage lift, sound system, and technology systems. This phase is in the process of being completed; however at this time it will not be done in time for us to use for our Winter Performances. Because of these issues our students who are in Band, Strings, and Choir will have a Winter Performance on Tuesday, December 9th at the M.E.T. on the Clark Campus. Students are being bused over for a day time rehearsal on that day. There will be no bus transportation for the evening performance.
Due to the stage area construction, we will need to reschedule our Holiday Programs for Grades Kindergarten through Fourth Grade to sometime in the spring. This spring concert will feature a showcase of the classroom music our students have learned throughout the year. We will be scheduling our 1st Quarter and 2nd Quarter Awards as a combined assembly in early February.
We will continue to provide opportunities for our students to celebrate their success and perform for our school community and parents, but with the damage that was caused by the fire this school year will be different from years past. We look forward to returning to all of Sierra Vista’s traditions during the next school year.
