Dear Sierra Vista Families,
We know that many of you have questions about the possible return to school given the fact that the district has applied for a waiver with the county. Clovis Unified is working hard to create and implement a Return to School Plan that meets the guidelines from the Fresno County Department of Public Health. The hope is that elementary schools can return to in person learning in early November or January. Due to the requirement to maintain social distance we will need to return to school in a “In-person” hybrid model. We are currently working on finalizing our instructional schedule. The school day will not look like it did when we left in March. However, we are working diligently to communicate all these changes to our community.
A survey will be sent out to all parents and guardians during the week of October 9th - 16th providing information regarding the available instructional models. Every family will be given a choice between the “In-person” hybrid model or to continue learning online via zoom “Clovis Connect”.
A survey will need to be completed for each student, so we can plan accordingly. The survey will be sent to you via your email later today.
The link below will provide you with information supporting your decision for “In-person” or “Clovis Connect” online learning.
